Everywhere in the world has its own weaving culture. Given the limited environmental conditions and budget, I tried to use the local weaving culture as an idea, combined with local materials for housing, and combined with dew collection to create a clean water source for African residents , easy-to-build, cost-effective homes that can be built elsewhere in 10 or 20 years.

In Africa, where water resources have been polluted for a long time, and the long distance to get water is difficult, it takes one to three hours to get from home to the water source, but the water that can be obtained is muddy mud water. Water pollution is also the problem in Africa. One of the main causes of death is that they drink contaminated water for a long time. The poor environment prevents them from having other ways to get water. These contaminated water usually contains a lot of bacteria and parasites, which can cause illness or even death. Therefore, to obtain clean water is my hope that they can have clean water resources to use. After meeting the water resource problem, it can improve the problem of water extraction, clean drinking water, cooking and food hygiene in Africa.

Descriptions

Technical Concept : In terms of construction, bricks and wood, which are easily obtained locally, are used as the main building materials. The wood structure is combined with the weaving device for collecting dew on the roof. The weaving technique and structure are interwoven to form a structure that echoes the concept. The wood structure is durable. The curvature serves as the support of the roof structure, and the structure of the roof is covered in a weaving manner, and the cladding of the roof is covered in the form of structure, waterproof layer (PVC), dew collection layer, which can collect dew in the air in the early morning, and In rainy days, rainwater can be collected and stored after filtering through the filtration system. The dew-collecting weaving device has local weaving characteristics.

Visual Concept : Residence is the most important place in life, providing people with shelter from wind and rain, and also a place to meet the needs of daily life. In Africa, it has been observed that the women of this family still retain the local traditional weaving clothing. All parts of the world have their own weaving culture. Under the circumstances of limited environmental conditions and budget, I try to use the local weaving culture as a creative idea, combined with a residence with local materials. Combined with dew collection, it creates a clean water source and is easy to build, economical housing for non-residents.
